Nearby attractions include fine dining within 5 mintues, boating and kayaking at Maple Bay Marina, Birdseye Cove, Maple Bay Yacht club, and Genoa Bay Marina. Golfing can be enjoyed at Cowichan Golf and Country club (10 minutes), Duncan Meadows Golf Course (15 min), as well as many others within short driving distance. The many cultural attractions of Victoria are 45 minutes away, while the rugged, natural beauty of the west coast is a 2 hour drive. Many hiking and nature trails abound on the island, one starts 200 yards from our home. The world famous murals and dinner theater of Chemainus are also a mere 20 minutes away. With tennis, golf, outdoor and extreme sports, fishing, hiking,vineyards, as well as many festivals and cultural attractions, there will not be enough time to take advantage of them all.
